Titan

Ability’s first and most popular horizontal chassis fan coil. At 260mm deep, the Titan is available in 8 model sizes giving outputs up to 12KW of sensible cooling and selectable speeds offering noise levels as low as NR25.

The Titan encompasses the design features that make all Ability fan coil units unique.

Absolute Protection

Control valves, all electronic control equipment, hanging lugs and spigots are all contained within the outer profile of the unit. This means that as the unit travels to site, moves around the site and finally gets installed all the vulnerable components are protected from accidental damage.

The Condensate Tray

The Condensate Tray is, as standard, angled towards the drainage point and also includes a unique design of pressure equalising plate. This removes any possibility of condensate remaining in, or over-spilling the condensate tray onto valuable office equipment below.

Fans

Fans are enclosed rotor motor type for extra long life. Fan speed is controlled by tapped transformer offering up to 15 speed steps. This makes commissioning and balancing simpler as you are able to ‘fine tune’ each unit to it’s own installed situation. Remember, if infinite speed adjustment is required, consider our DC/EC motor option.

Coils

Coils have all been designed by Ability to effect maximum cooling output and controllability. Every single coil and control valve set is pressure tested under water to ensure there are no leaks in any of the connections. Another reason why Ability fan coils are quick and simple to install.

Controls

Most fan coils are fitted with controls that have been supplied ‘free issue’. Whatever control type you are considering, Ability will be able to incorporate these into the fan coil unit such that they are fully functional, accessible and integrate with the other elements of the building management system. The electric control enclosure is covered by a lid that either swings open or ‘unclips’ for free, unrestricted access.

Unit Chassis

The Unit Chassis incorporates and integral discharge plenum with user configurable spigot connections. Ability use 1.2mm galvanised steel for every single component ensuring a strong and robust product, a product that can stand the rigors of site installation whilst maintaining optimum performance.

Special Requirements

Ability is able to offer the Titan modified to suit your own specific project requirements. Common changes include adaptations to spigot positions and styles, electric heating, intake plenums, matched commissioning sets and integral VCD’s.
